Sure, it took a lot of work by a professional to wind up with such convincing end results, but the technology is improving at such a rapid pace that it won’t be long before amateurs will be able to create equally credible videos to unleash upon the unsuspecting. But in reality, these videos are the creation of Belgian VFX specialist Chris Ume, assisted by Tom Cruise impersonator Miles Fisher, the open source AI DeepFaceLab algorithm, and video editing tools.
